For our second year anniversary, we planned a weekend trip to Roanoke Island. It turned out to be a great weekend, the weather was perfect, the inn we stayed at was nice and the island itself was beautiful! We were able to go before the busy season, so it was a very peaceful vacation. Every morning we had coffee and walked the boardwalk along the edge of the water. We explored the island's tourist spots - a replica of the Elizabeth II, a small museum dedicated to the island, the aquarium and the Elizabethan Gardens. None of these were too exciting, but I thought it was fun and it was nice to just be in a beautiful place with Carter. Overall we had a wonderful time and I would definitely go back!
